Events in Gubbio
Events, Festivals, Folklore
There are many folkloric and food and wine events that take place in Gubbio throughout the year. Among the most interesting and well-known, we remember the Festa dei Ceri, which takes place every May 15th, the procession of the Dead Christ, which takes place every Easter Friday, the lighting of the World’s Tallest Christmas Tree, which happens on December 7th every year, and the White Truffle Market Exhibition, which is held annually in October-November
In addition to being a city rich in art, Gubbio offers many marked trails for beautiful walks through woods and ancient walls. The routes are varied, of different difficulties, but all very fascinating.
Sports and adventure enthusiasts can find activities more suited to them on the nearby Monte Cucco and Monte Calvo, famous launch areas for hang gliders and paragliders.
